Derech Etz Chaim

Derech Etz Chaim, is committed to helping Talmidim see Torah as “Life” and see Avodas Hashem as the focal point of who they are. We work to constantly engage the Talmidim’s minds, so that they not only learn, but learn to understand.

Founded by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Aharon Katz, in 1998,  for over two decades Derech Etz Chaim has developed Talmidim who are independent thinkers, who fearlessly ask questions and search for answers, while being deeply committed to Torah growth and learning.

At Derech Etz Chaim you will have a wide variety of new friends. Our acceptance is limited in size in order to be able to best serve our Talmidim with a personalized approach. We are looking for Talmidim that wish to  develop through  respectful, insightful, and caring interactions with their Rebbeim.

At Derech Etz Chaim we do our utmost to follow the guidance of Shlomo HaMelech – חנוך לנער על פי דרכו.

Each individual Talmid receives  his own personal guidance from the Rebbeim, and while the learning and schedule in the Yeshiva are unified, the assistance and guidance from the Rebbeim is student specific.

Derech Etz Chaim Talmidim benifit from the oversight of Rav Yehuda Werblowsky, the Menahel/Mashgiach, who is renowned for guiding individual Talmidim to reach their potential, each in their own unique way. Rav Werblowsky has decades of experience in post high school Chinuch and has created exciting innovative incentive programs that have been adopeted around the Chinuch world.

Derech Etz Chaim has the Zechus of having HaGaon Harav Moshe Stav שליט"א as a primary Rebbe in Yeshiva. Rav Stav is well known not only as a tremendous Talmid Chacham, but as a master Rebbe with hundreds of Talmidim. Now at Derech Etz Chaim, he works with an exclusive group of Talmidim who qualify for his shiur, and helps them develop a Derech HaLimud at the highest levels.
